The absence of specialized construction management events in the country, particularly in recent years, despite extensive advertising in the field of public project management, has been strongly felt. Planning and executing international-level conferences such as the Construction Management Symposium are crucial steps towards achieving grand goals, such as promoting the science and literature of this field for enthusiasts on one hand, and creating a platform for expanding the network of specialists on the other. Participating in such programs will undoubtedly lead to personal skill growth and the acquisition of unique job opportunities.
The International Construction Management Symposium, attended by a large number of both international and domestic professors, as well as senior executives of prominent and famous companies and organizations in the construction industry, provides a unique opportunity for exchanging experiences and acquiring the latest knowledge in the field of construction industry.
The first International Construction Management Symposium in Iran is significant and valuable from various aspects, including: participation of renowned professors and experts in construction management from around the globe including Iranians residing in other countries, offering fresh and contemporary insights in the construction management aspect and its associated challenges, presenting lessons learned by active companies in the construction management area, explaining the distinction between project management and construction management, despite the relatively novel status of the second one in Iran, and endeavors to modify misconceptions in this domain, efforts to establish collaboration between industry professionals and academia and to establish networking opportunities among specialists in this field. These are particularly noteworthy and valuable features of this symposium.
Participating in this important and valuable event has led to several achievements for me, most importantly including: the opportunity to meet and talk with managers from various companies and holdings in construction, consulting, contracting, oil and gas, and even within the employer organizations themselves. Interacting and talking with these managers and organizations has provided opportunities for collaboration or acquaintance. One of the most significant opportunities that can arise at such rare conferences and events is the gathering of highly skilled professors, managers, and instructors from the academic field alongside international project managers with very high levels of education and experience. This aspect has elevated this symposium to the level of a very useful classroom for learning about the business of international project management and international instructors. Overall, the first International Symposium has had and continues to have achievements that necessitate the annual continuation of such events at this high and unique level of quality. Such rich and valuable lessons are extremely necessary and essential.
The second international symposium of construction management, scheduled for September 2024, will be attended by approximately 1000 participants including distinguished domestic and international speakers, experienced managers, esteemed university professors, and specialized industry practitioners, in order to establish one of the most specialized and extensive communication networks within the construction industry.
